Andrew Gully

Andrew Gully brings 30 years of experience in media, communications and public relations to Brandeis in his role as senior vice president for communications and external affairs.
He joined the university in November 2009 from Sovereign Bank, part of the global Santander Group, where he headed corporate affairs during the greatest financial upheaval in a generation. Prior to that, he worked for Kelley Habib John, a Boston branding firm, where he developed communications and public relations campaigns for clients including health and auto insurers, commercial and residential developers and Boston-area hospitals.
Previously, Gully spent 21 years as a reporter and editor at the Boston Herald, the last 11 years as managing editor. He began his newspaper career as a reporter in 1976 in Lawrence, Mass., for the Eagle Tribune.
Gully is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston.
