Sabina is Russian native born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. After living for some time in Kazan, Russia, Sabina's family moved to Council Bluffs, IA where she finished High School and Community College. Sabina transferred to Iowa State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's in Communication Studies and International Studies. She relocated to Washington DC where she worked closely with civil society organizations around the world during Spring and Annual World Bank and IMF meetings. As a part of the World Bank's Civil Society team, Sabina got a chance to learn about various World Bank and IMF projects and consultations. She also participated in maintaining relations with stakeholders such as Faith-based organizations, private sector, foundations, and indigenous groups. Because of her personal and professional experience, Sabina decided to pursue Masters Degree in Sustainable International Development at the Heller School and to start working for the Office of Study Abroad. Sabina is here to help many students to have a smooth transition process to and from abroad and is happy to be a resource for translating international experience to the potential career path.
