General InformationEvery year over 240 Brandeis students study abroad in over 65 different countries around the world. Our office is dedicated to assisting both students and parents throughout the study abroad process. The information on this website should provide you with some basics on study abroad. You may also wish to download the Guide to Study Abroad which gives an overview of our office, the off-campus study options available to students, and the study abroad application process. Study Abroad Handbook
Each student is given this handbook which outlines all policies and procedures for studying abroad from Brandeis University. This workbook is designed to answer the many questions regarding credit, housing, registration, health & safety and other cross-cultural topics. You can download and/or view a copy of the Spring 2008 Handbook or the Fall 2008 Handbook.
Health, Safety & Travel
Prior to going abroad, students and their families should access the potential health and safety risks that may come with study or travel abroad. Please see the Health, Safety & Travel page for more information.
Billing Information

Download our handout on the Billing Process for Students Studying Abroad. This sheet will assist in answering questions about what each student needs to do by the end of the semester before departing for abroad.

Parent Listserv
If your son or daughter is currently studying abroad, you can have your email address added to our Parent listserv, which we use for general announcements from our office. To join, send your name, email, and student's name to abroad@brandeis.edu.
