Udall Scholarship

What:
The Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation awards 50 scholarships of up to $5000 and 50 honorable mentions to sophomore and junior level college students committed to careers related to the environment, tribal public policy, or Native American health care.

Who:
Current sophomores and juniors.

Eligibility Limitations:
Students must be able to demonstrate a commitment to a career related to the environment, tribal public policy, or Native American health care. It is recommended that students have at least a 3.0 GPA. Students must be pursuing full-time study during the 2016-2017 academic year and be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or U.S. permanent resident.

Where:
Scholars may use the award for tuition, room and board, or other educational expenses.

Duration:
The award will serve for one year. 

Application Requirements:
Applications will be made available on October 1st. Interested students should contact their campus representative, Elizabeth Teurlay, for more information.

Campus Deadline:
February 1, 2018

Final Deadline:
March 15, 2018

Notification:
Winners are notified on the website on May 1st, 2018.

Who applies nationwide?
Recipients are chosen from a national pool, with approximately 500 nominees competing each year for up to 50 awards.
