Key things to remember

Post-bac students are required to take at least seven courses (twenty-eight credits) at Brandeis to complete the program. 

Students who have taken some of their courses already should consult with the Dean regarding adjustments to the course schedule. 

Lecture courses are counted as full courses (four credits); most labs are half courses (two credits). 

The Biology sequence at Brandeis has a pre-requisite of at least one semester of General Chemistry.  It is taught at a more advanced level than a standard introductory Biology level.

Course Timelines

For students who have not taken any of the requisite course work, the program will take a minimum of six semesters to complete. Two semesters are offered over each Summer.  Students work closely with the Assistant Dean for Health Professions Advising to create a curriculum that will best serve their needs.  Here are some examples of how courses may fit together:
