Most of the students find it very useful to have a laptop computer. Computers can sometimes be cheaper to purchase in the U.S. One of the places where you can buy your computer here is Best Buy. You can check the prices online. Brandeis Library and Technology Services (LTS) also has a purchasing guide located at www.brandeis.edu/lts/. You can get a student discount through LTS on certain computer brands such as Apple or Dell.
Library and Technology Services (LTS) provides technology resources and services to further teaching, learning, and the goals of the Brandeis University community. You can also set your email address before you arrive. You will need to click on “accounts and passwords”, then on “Unet account”, and choose “open a Unet account” and follow the steps. You may open a Brandeis email account by logging on to http://unet.brandeis.edu.
