My Favorite Places: 2012 Photo Contest

Calling all international photographers! We invite you to participate in our "My Favorite Places" Photo Contest. This year we will be accepting two entries per person with photos representing "Your Favorite Place(s)."

What do you think of when you think of your favorite place? Home? A place you visited only once? Or perhaps it is not even an actual physical location at all? The possibilities are endless!

Who can participate?  Students, scholars, faculty and staff are all welcome to submit entries.

When: Come and cast your vote from 9-5 on February 2, 2012.  We will have hot cocoa and cookies from 3:30-5pm.

Where: ISSO Office, Kutz Hall, Room 215

Criteria:

Email entries to isso@brandeis.edu. Deadline for submission: Thursday, January 26, 2012 by 5pm

Name each digital file: Last name_Location_Title (e.g. Smith_Japan_FriendsHouseinTokyo)

Submit clear digital photos (not blurry)

No hard copies will be accepted-digital only

Limit of 2 photos per person

By submitting a photo to this contest, you are allow the ISSO to publish on your photo on the ISSO website and in any materials affiliated with the contest.

By submitting a photo, you understand that your photo will become ISSO property.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places based upon votes placed by the Brandeis University community on February 2!

Waltham Social Security Office Moving

The Social Security Office's last day at 50 Prospect Street will be Friday, December 16. Their new location will be 135 Beaver Street in Waltham, MA, 02452. This office will be opening on Tuesday, December 20.

If you are applying for a social security  number, or need to visit the office for any other reason, note that there will be no Social Security Office in Waltham open on Monday, December 19.

Boston's Social Security Office at 10 Causeway Street, Room 148 (next to North Station) will remain open.


ISSO Holiday Office Hours and Travel Signature Reminder

The ISSO will be open during winter break except for the following dates:

Friday, 12/16/11, closed from 12-2pm for Staff Meeting

Monday 12/26/2011-Monday 1/2/2012, closed for Winter Break

Friday 1/6/2012, closed from 12-2pm for Departmental Retreat

Reminder: If you will be traveling over Winter Break, make sure you have a valid travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019 that will be less than 6 months old when you return to the U.S. For more information, see the Travel section on the ISSO website: http://www.brandeis.edu/acserv/isso/travel/index.html
