1 - REMINDERS: Off Campus Employment Authorization

As a reminder, employment authorization MUST be received BEFOREHAND for ALL off-campus work.  For more information, please contact the ISSO, attend an ISSO employment workshop, or see the links below:

Summer Internships:  International Undergraduate Students and Employment Authorization

Wednesday, April 18th at 4:00pm at the ISSO

Do the following describe you?
* Undergraduate International Student on an F-1 Visa
* Wanting to participate in a summer internship in the U.S.
* Not sure what to do?


Attend this workshop to find out how to obtain work authorization for the summer break!  This workshop will focus primarily on the Brandeis summer internship course (INT 92g).


All other Spring 2012 ISSO Employment Workshops will cover:

Curricular Practical Training (CPT, for F-1 Visa holders), 3pm-3:30pm

Optional Practical Training (OPT, for F-1 Visa holders), 3:30pm-4:30pm

Academic Training (AT, for J-1 Visa holders), 4:30pm-5pm

Global Trade Summit 2012, with Governor Deval Patrick

Tuesday, April 3, 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Levin Ballroom, Usdan Student Center

This one-day conference is the premier event for professionals seeking to understand and succeed in global markets. For this year's summit, speakers from business, government and academia will focus on opportunities in emerging markets and give special attention to four countries: Brazil, India, Israel and Turkey. 

The keynote address will be given by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick. Among the other speakers include EMC Senior VP Joel Schwartz, Kronos CEO Aron Ain, and Ken Brown, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment.

Join the Brandeis Pluralism Alliance Steering Committee!!!

The BPA invites applications for new members to join the 2012-2013 Brandeis Pluralism Alliance Steering Committee, which is responsible for advising all of the initiative's activities. The Steering Committee also selects grant recipients for projects addressing issues of identity, pluralism and unity at Brandeis. As a BPA Steering Committee member, you will serve as a liaison to grants recipients and organize Pluralism Alliance meetings for representatives of student organizations to share and discuss ongoing initiatives.
