"Education is a social process; education is growth; education is not a preparation for life but is life itself."

--John Dewey

Congratulations on your selection as a Lerman-Neubauer Fellow! This program will allow you to immerse yourself in all that Brandeis and the Boston area have to offer.

Brandeis's unique structure as a world-class research university integrated with a small liberal arts college allows students, staff and faculty to intimately engage in academic exploration and discourse. As a Lerman-Neubauer Fellow, you are a part of a small, select community of students, staff and faculty committed to intellectual challenge and growth. You will participate in specially designed seminars, interdisciplinary roundtables and discussions, local and global research and service opportunities, and culturally rich trips and activities. I especially look forward to working with you to design events that cater toward your personal interests and goals.

On this web site, you will find important information about events, dates, and resources for academic and extracurricular exploration. You will also be able to access details about additional fellowships, study abroad, and career opportunities.

I am thrilled to be working with throughout your time at Brandeis, and hope that your experience will be unique, enriching and fulfilling.
