I've matriculated to Brandeis...now what?

What to expect over the summer between sending your deposit to Brandeis and joining us for the Lerman-Neubauer Fellowship Pre-New Student Orientation Retreat 

You’ve just sent in your deposit to Brandeis and now you are thinking… now what?? So here is a bit of a timeline of what to expect over the summer!

  • May 1st through high school graduation: Relax and bask in the glory of knowing you’ve just made a very difficult decision… and made a great choice! Misty will email you to say hello.
  • June: Misty will be in touch with you in mid/late June in regards to selecting one of the two Lerman-Neubauer Fellowship First-Year Seminar classes. In Fall 2012 the courses will be taught by Professor Jason Pontrello in the Chemistry department and Professor Andrew Koh in the Classics department.  You will also be connected with your selected Faculty Mentor.  Contact him/her over the summer to begin building your connection.
  • June/July: You’ll have the opportunity to select your top choices for your UWS (University Writing Seminar). The UWS is a required course that you will take either Fall or Spring of your First-Year. 
  •  July: Register for classes! Misty is available to discuss with you your questions or concerns.
  • August: Pre-New Student Orientation Retreat for Lerman-Neubauer Fellows will be held the evening of Friday, August 24 through the morning of Sunday, August 26. New Student Orientation begins the afternoon of Sunday, August 26th.
