Jahfree Duncan
Class of 2009

benjamin douglas

Born in Florida, Jahfree has lived in Boston for the past 6 years.  He is currently a double major in Sociology and Theatre on the acting track, with aspirations of becoming either a professional actor or attending law school. Jahfree can be heard on the airwaves of WBRS, the Brandeis radio station, on his show, “Diverse Megahertz”, covering everything from music to politics. He is also a member of the University Board on Student Conduct. Since Brandeis faculty members also serve on the UBSC, Jahfree gets to know professors beyond the classroom setting.

“I love that I am able to speak with [professors] on a level playing field”

Jahfree graduated from Another Course to College (ACC), a small school in Boston that helps students focus on academic endeavors, and joined the Brandeis community through the Transitional Year Program.  This program provides an opportunity for students whose talents and native skills exceed the resources available in their home communities to prepare them for Brandeis's rigorous academic environment.

Most recently, Jahfree was a cast member in the play The Goat or, Who is Sylvia? When not found on stage in a theatrical production, Jahfree is probably advising and hanging out with his residents as a Community Advisor or perfecting his impersonation skills.

“I feel like I can do whatever I want here…I can be unorthodox on the radio and still have input on the administrative end, and I like that.”
