Information for Transfer Applicants

Brandeis University welcomes applications from transfer students. So that you may receive as many of the benefits of a Brandeis education as possible, we require that you plan to study at Brandeis for a minimum of two years.

When you apply for admission as a transfer student, we consider your:

  • College academic record
  • High school academic record
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Personal statement
  • Recommendations
  • Dean's evaluation
  • SAT or ACT scores (from tests taken either during secondary school or by April of the year of your application)
  • International students for whom English is not their primary language need only submit a TOEFL exam.  However, if you have taken an SAT with a Critical Reasoning score of 600 or higher, a TOEFL exam is not needed.

When you apply and are accepted as a transfer student to Brandeis, we will tell you how many of the courses that you have taken earlier will be credited toward your Brandeis degree.

Transfer application deadline for fall semester admission is April 1.
