The Arts at Brandeis

Brandeis puts the arts in liberal arts.

Whether you’re looking for creative self-expression, a possible career, or a chance to make new friends, the arts at Brandeis offer you an awakening of your mind, body and spirit.

Each year, Brandeis presents more than 300 plays, concerts and exhibitions featuring students, faculty, and professional artists. The major arts venues on campus include:

  Brandeis Theater Company
The performing ensemble of the Department of Theater Arts produces a cutting-edge season of world premiers, classics and musicals.  Mixing students and professional actors and designers, the BTC promotes mulitculturalism as well as artistry.

  Brandeis Concert Season
The internationally acclaimed Lydian String Quartet is in residence at Brandeis, home to six exceptional  student music ensembles including the Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra. In addition, the campus boasts numerous nationally recognized student-run a cappella groups.  Our World Music concerts bring to campus extraordinary musicians from around the globe.

  The Rose Art Museum
The Rose presents exhibitions of today's hottest visual artists as well as works in the University's permanent collection from Manets and Magrittes to Pollocks and Warhols.  Recognized as one of the premier modern art museums on the East Coast,  the Rose also loans artwork to Brandeis students to display in their residence hall rooms.
