Residence Life
First-year students are guaranteed on-campus housing at Brandeis for their first four consecutive semesters or three consecutive semesters if they enter midyear. Housing is assigned in either the Massell or North residence Quadrangle. These quads feature doubles, natural triples (two rooms with three people) and lofted rooms (accommodating three people). Each quad is supervised by a professionally trained quad director who is assisted by several upperclass students serving as community advisers.
Each residence hall in the North and Massell quads features:
- Lounges to foster socialization, study-group opportunities and programming
- A large community space with a big-screen TV and billiards and foosball tables
- Kitchen facilities equipped with community refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave and counter space
- Laundry facilities
All of your residence life concerns will be well served by a helpful team of quad directors, CAs, and residence life staff. They'll also provide programming in your residence hall, including barbecues, faculty lectures, "munchies" sessions and informal get-togethers.
To make your transition as smooth as possible, we have an entire Department of Residence Life, staffed by 11 professionals and 67 students.
