Admissions Interviews
Essays and transcripts don't always tell us the whole story. An interview gives you an opportunity to tell us about yourself in person, unconstrained by the formality of the written page and the remoteness of school records.
Interviews are conducted on campus by current seniors and staff, or off campus by staff and alumni. Interview evaluations will become a part of your application and may be used in the decision making process. Although interviews are typically casual by nature, you should be prepared to talk about yourself and your interests relating to Brandeis and your high school experience.
Interviews are not required, but are often helpful. They will provide you with the opportunity to ask questions and share additional personal information. If you wish to schedule an interview, please follow these guidelines:
- Prospective students may schedule interviews on campus any time after May 15 of their junior year
- Candidates must schedule their on campus interviews by December 9 (November 15 for Early Decision I)
- Alumni interviews may be requested between mid-September and December 6 of the applicant's senior year

Off Campus Interviews
To request an off campus interview with an alumni representative in your area, please follow the link below. You should be contacted within 4 weeks of submitting your request, as off campus interviews are assigned based on alumni volunteer availability. Submitting a request does not guarantee an interview; therefore, please email our office if you have not received a response after 4 weeks. The off campus interview request form will not be available after Sunday, December 6, 2009.
If you are applying Early Decision, please be mindful of requesting an interview prior to the application deadline.
