Tours and Information Sessions
Brandeis strongly encourages prospective students and their families to visit its beautiful suburban campus at any time throughout the year. Although walk-in visitors are always welcome, we recommend scheduling ahead via the online reservation form.
Student-led tours, which last about one hour, are generally held several times a day, Monday through Friday and at 11 a.m. on selected Saturdays. See the schedule link below for specific dates and times. Tours leave from the Shapiro Admissions Center, near the entrance to campus. See interactive map | download PDF map.
Information sessions, which last about 45 minutes, are generally held two times a day (10:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m.) in the Shapiro Admissions Center. They are scheduled so that a tour is usually available before or after the program.
For tour and information session dates and times, see the Tours and Information Session Schedule.
Walking Tours
As Brandeis University is an open campus, visitors are welcome to tour the campus on their own when guided tours are unavailable. This option is particularly useful at times of the year when the Office of Admissions is closed to visitors, such as the December/January recess from December 23rd to January 2nd or on weekends. A recommended walking tour can be found here.
Interviews
On-campus interviews with an admissions representative are available to students beginning the summer prior to their senior year of high school. In addition, off-campus interviews with a Brandeis alumnus are available to prospective students during the fall and winter of their senior year. For more information on schedules and how to arrange an interview, click here.
Special Information for Visitors with Disabilities
Because our campus is built on a hill, students, family members or visitors who wish to take a slower-paced tour may request a personal tour by contacting our office. Tours designed for visitors who are wheelchair users are also available. Please contact the admissions office at 781-736-3500 at least one week before your visit to ensure accommodations.
Students or family members who are deaf or hard of hearing are also encouraged to let the admissions office know of any accommodations they may require, including ASL interpreters, prior to visiting campus. In order to secure an interpreter, please notify the admissions office at least three weeks in advance of your visit.
For more information about disabilities services on campus, please e-mail Beth Rodgers Kay at brodgers@brandeis.edu. For admissions-related issues, you may e-mail Luigi Solla at solla@brandeis.edu. Additional information about disability services may be found at http://www.brandeis.edu/uaa/dis.
