On Sunday, February 3, 2013, in honor of the 25th Anniversary of Women Making Music and the groundbreaking work of Judith Tick, a collective of high profile musicians and scholars from the Brandeis University Women’s Studies Research Center present a two-part event, featuring a talk given by Ms. Tick, followed by a concert celebration of historical and contemporary works by women. Featuring the music of Maria Teresa Agnesi, Vivian Fine, Ruth Lomon, Dana Maiben, Fanny Mendelssohn, Camilla de Rossi, and Ruth Crawford Seeger, this showcase of women composers will be performed by Boston musicians: Emily Corbató, Pamela Dellal, Laury Gutierrez, the Mockingbird Trio (Elizabeth Anker, John McDonald, Scott Woolweaver), Vivian Montgomery and more.
