The annual Festival of the Creative Arts showcases nationally acclaimed performers and visual artists together with music, dance, theater, film and artwork by more than 300 Brandeis students, faculty and alumni.

Join us April 7-14, 2019. Highlights of the festival include:

April 7, noon - 5 pm: Super Sunday!
Campuswide music and dance performances, exhibitions and art activities the whole family can enjoy.

April 10: Words and Artifacts: Treasures of a Cuban Jewish Exile.
Noted anthropologist and poet Ruth Behar gives a reading and talk. Sponsored by the Hadass-Brandeis Institute Project in Latin American Jewish and Gender Studies.

April 10-14: "The Bacchae"
With vibrant original songs and choreography, this new translation of the Greek tragedy takes a contemporary look at gender, religion, and politics. Presented by the Department of Theater Arts.

Plus: Concerts by the Lydian String Quartet, the Brandeis University Chorus and Chamber Singers, the Brandeis Early Music Ensemble, and premieres of student works performed by the Ludovico Ensemble.

The Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts is produced by the Office of the Arts at Brandeis. Most events are free and open to the public.
