Helpful People

The following staff people will help you plan and implement your project:

Ingrid Pabon. Ingrid is the program coordinator for the Office of the Arts and your main contact for the Festival of the Arts. She will help you manage your budget, order materials, and set up meetings with Public Safety, Facilities, etc. or 781-736-5002.

Dennis Finn. Dennis is in charge of grounds and vehicles for Facilities Services. He is the secret hero of the arts at Brandeis! Talk to Dennis if you are installing work outdoors: he can advise on how to secure your work, how to avoid hitting underground pipes and wiring, and in general how to keep things safe. If you need heavy pieces transported, fill out an online work order, and ask the Office of the Arts for the chargeline so that it will be billed to your grant budget. Email or call 781-736-4374.

Deborah Rosenstein. Deborah is the concert manager in the Music Department and oversees Slosberg Recital Hall. See her for questions about rehearsal time, recording, equipment, and anything else  having to do with Slosberg. Email or call 781-736-4867.

Robbie Steinberg. Robbie is the UTC Advisor and oversees the Shapiro Theater. If you are performing in that space, you are required to meet with him to talk about tech, rehearsals, and so forth. Email or call 781-736-5065.

JV Souffrant. JV is the operations specialist in Student Activities. He books rooms (except for the theater) in the Shapiro Campus Center and Usdan Campus Center, and oversees the use of the Atrium and other public spaces in SCC. If you are using any of these spaces, you are required to have a meeting with JV. Email

  • Grants may not be used for wages or salaries (they may be used for stipends or other honoraria).
  • With certain exceptions, grants may not be used to buy major pieces of equipment.

Acknowledgment of Support

Grant recipients must mention the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts and credit the Brandeis University Office of the Arts in all print and online announcements, publicity, and programs for the funded project. The following phrase is recommended: “Part of the Leonard Bernstein Festival of the Creative Arts and made possible [or Made possible in part] by the Office of the Arts at Brandeis.”
