BEMCo and Brandeis Public Safety
BEMCo operates individually as an ambulance licensed by the Massachusetts Office of Emergency Medical Services. Campus Police accompany BEMCo on calls to assist the EMTs. They are NOT on scene to bring charges against patients. If a patient were to call because of intoxication, the police would NOT initiate judiciary action. The only reason an officer would file a complaint against a patient is if the individual is violent or causes property damage.
