Dialogue in Transition: Germany and Its Jews
A lecture by Sergey Lagodinsky; lawyer, author and current Yale World Fellow
Tuesday, October 12, 2010
7:30 p.m.
Atrium, Mandel Humanities Center
A German-Jewish dialogue has reached another very special moment in its ambivalent history. Within just two decades, Germany has become home to one of the biggest European-Jewish communities. Yet the dynamics on both sides are less encouraging than these statistics propose. In his talk Sergey Lagodinsky will address the challenges and assess the perspectives for a substantial German-Jewish Renaissance.
This event is sponsored by the Center for German and European Studies, with the Brandeis-Genesis Institute as a co-sponsor.
