Our Mission
The mission of the Brandeis-Genesis Institute (BGI) is to prepare Russian-speaking students from around the world to become effective community leaders fortified by Jewish knowledge, a systematic understanding of Russian Jewry, and a commitment to the future of the Jewish people.
BGI Fellowship
All BGI programs have three components:
- Educational: Students selected to receive the GPG-funded scholarship participate in course work and lectures that increase their knowledge of Jewish life and their Russian heritage.
- Extracurricular: Students plan and participate in BGI-sponsored events that are cultural, artistic and historical in nature.
- Community Outreach: Students participate in community service activities.
