Message from the President

Carol Kern

Carol Kern

Welcome to the Brandeis National Committee (BNC).

We are a philanthropic organization of women and men who raise funds in support of Brandeis University. Since the founding of the University in 1948, the BNC has steadfastly helped to build the Libraries and is the largest friends-of-a-library organization in the world. We have placed more than 1 million books on the shelves and contributed to myriad new technological advancements that allow students, scholars and faculty to access up-to-date research. Through our mission, we also support scholarship and research. Our partnership with Brandeis University is held in high esteem by the university and valued by devoted BNC members who are proud of their affiliation with this outstanding school.

BNC chapters across the country provide continuing education for our members. There is a wide array of learning opportunities that are offered, some in the form of study guides authored by Brandeis faculty who are experts in their fields, and made available to members. Brandeis professors are also speakers at our acclaimed University on Wheels programs held in chapter communities throughout the country.

Excellent fundraising events such as book and author luncheons are a main stay and enjoyed by BNC members and their communities at large.

We are the Brandeis National Committee — engaged in philanthropy, learning and community.  Join us!
