BOLLI Conviviality
BOLLI offers a variety of opportunities for learning and community connection both in and outside of the classroom. In addition to our regular curriculum and many opportunities in the Brandeis community such as discount theater and concert tickets, discounted membership at the athletic facility, access to the Brandeis libraries, and much more, we offer intergenerational, intercession, and off campus programming and affinity groups.
Intergenerational Programming
The International Friends Program arranges one-on-one partnerships between BOLLI members and students at the Program for Sustainable International Development at the Heller School. BOLLI and S.I.D. students are matched for a unique experience to help these mature graduate students with their transition to a new country and way of life. This program provides BOLLI students with the opportunity to learn from S.I.D.'s students about their countries of origin and what the United States looks like from their fresh, new perspective.
The BOLLI Scholar Program Committee recruits graduate students to participate in BOLLI classes or other BOLLI programs including teaching some sessions or participating in class discussion.
The Mentoring Program encourages a synergistic relationship between the university and BOLLI communities, helping BOLLI to be involved in university programs. The mentoring committee offers a variety of opportunities for BOLLI members to foster professional development with both graduate and undergraduate students at Brandeis.
