The Brandeis University Office of Capital Projects is responsible for managing and coordinating major construction and renovation projects at Brandeis University. Activities of the Office typically span a broad range from planning and feasibility studies to construction of major new projects. The mission of the Office of Capital Projects is to ensure that projects approved by the University's Board of Trustees and University leadership are carried out with sensitivity and concern for the needs of the various projects' end-users and the University community as a whole, in conformance with the budgetary, schedule, and sustainability requirements associated with each project. The University is committed to environmental responsibility as a central focus of the design and construction process. Brandeis University is a charter signatory to the American College & University Presidents Climate Commitment and, consistent with that commitment, the goal of the Office of Capital Projects is to create projects at a LEED silver (or greater) equivalent standard. Please use the links on the left to learn more about current and past major capital projects at Brandeis University and about the policies and procedures by which we carry out our work. A campus map is available highlighting all major capital projects accomplished since 1999, plus those underway now. Please share your thoughts with us using our web-based Questions and Comments box.
The image to the right is from the Brandeis University campus master plan. The campus master planning website is a record of work done in 2000 and 2001. The master plan created then has been the basis for the many major projects accomplished since then, and continues to guide thinking about future developments and changes at the University.
