In the three years since its establishment, the Crown Center has hosted a wide variety of first-class research, conferences, events. The Spring 2008 Update reflects the Crown Center's tremendous growth and its impact on the field, both in the US and in the Middle East. The leading article features the workshop on Palestinian Industrial Projects, cosponsored by the Center, and attended by Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad. The Update also includes descriptions of two important international conferences held by the Center this past year as well as profiles and interviews with new Crown Center members Dr. Nader Habibi, the Henry J. Leir Professor of Economics of the Middle East, Dr. Naghmeh Sohrabi, Assistant Director for Research, and Dr. Mohammed Samhouri, Senior Fellow in 2006-2008.
