Shoshana Eisenberg is a graduate of Boston University, with a major in psychology. She spent the year in Israel, studying in the conservative yeshiva and working as a counselor in the Tichon Ramah Yerushalayim program, a semester abroad program for high school 10^th and 11^th graders. Throughout high school and college, Shoshana taught Israeli dance in day schools, and spent her summers at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin. Shoshana founded the Kalaniot Israel Dance Troupe at Boston University.

Ilana Elson is a graduate of the University of Rochester, with a major in religion and a minor in history. While in Rochester, Ilana was active in Hillel and worked as a team leader at Jumpstart/AmeriCorps, a pre-school program. In summer 2006 she was a Residence Assistant at the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, working with 6th and 7th grade students. Ilana has the distinction of being the first DeLeT Fellow to have been a member of varsity crew in college.

Ariel Friedlander is a graduate of the University of Nottingham in England, with a major in American studies. She served as a congregational rabbi in the US and Canada for the past 10 years, including a summer as the visiting rabbi in Minsk, Belarus. A native of England, Ariel earned her rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York. Prior to her rabbinic career, Ariel worked as a professional photographer at sporting events and theatrical performances.

Sima Green is a graduate of Queens College, with a BA in English literature and Jewish history. Most recently, she taught middle school at Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway in New York. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Sima advised the school’s debate team. Sima began her graduate work at the NYU Steinhardt School of Education.

Rivkah Horowitz is a graduate of Thomas Edison State College, with BA in liberal studies. She worked most recently as a Jewish family educator and a Hebrew school teacher at the Chabad Day School in Sharon, Massachusetts. Rivkah also worked in the New York State Head Start Program, and as an activity coordinator for the elderly with disabilities in Sefad, Israel.

Sarah Kanigsberg is a graduate of Trent University in Ontario, with a major in psychology. After graduation, Sarah volunteered for 5 months in Israel on the Livnot’Ulehibanot program helping paint and rehabilitate homes. Sarah has spent most of her summers working in Jewish overnight camps, and most recently served as a child care provider for three children while working as a B'nai B'rith Youth Organization (BBYO) advisor. Sarah holds the distinction of being the first DeLeT sibling; her sister Kathy is a DeLeT graduate.

Miriam Klausner is a graduate of Barnard College with a major in biology. She comes to teaching after a career in public health. For the past several years Miriam has been a substitute teacher, a science enrichment teacher and assistant teacher at Striar Hebrew Academy of Sharon. Miriam has also been a very active volunteer with Ma’ayan, Torah Study Initiative for Women. Miriam will not be the only Klausner on the Brandeis campus this year: her daughter Ellie is a member of the Brandeis University class of ’09.

Lindsay Lefton received both her BA and her Master of Social Work degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University in Ontario, where she was active in Hillel and worked in many areas of the mental health profession; including people with autism, eating disorders and sexual abuse. Most recently, she was a social worker at the Peel Children’s Aid Society, working with families around issues of child safety. For the last few years Lindsay has strengthened her Jewish background by attending programs at Aish HaTorah and the Brandeis-Bardin Institute.

Alicia Reines-Leo is a graduate of Brandeis, with a major in history and political science. After a career as an attorney, Alicia left the field to explore a career in teaching, beginning with teaching third grade general studies at Striar Hebrew Academy of Sharon. Among her many talents, Alicia is a musician and a Suzuki violin instructor.

Micaela Winton is a graduate of Brandeis University with a major in theater arts. Throughout college Micaela taught first grade in a religious school and spent her summers either working at Camp Ramah in the Berkshires, or at the Child Development Center in New York working with preschool children in a therapeutic setting. Micaela is proficient in American Sign Language.
