Boston Mandel Teacher Educator Institute (MTEI)

Director: Gail Zaiman Dorph

Staff: Marion Gribetz, Coordinator

A joint program of the Mandel Center, the Mandel Foundation, and the Bureau of Jewish Education, Boston MTEI was an innovative professional development program. The central goal was to help schools develop the capacity to provide serious, ongoing learning opportunities for teachers. The program worked with teams of educational leaders from area schools.

To help participants consolidate their learning and to support new school-based initiatives, MTEI held seminars last year during which team members reviewed professional development strategies and received guidance and feedback on their school-based efforts.
