A primary goal of the Initiative on Bridging Scholarship and Pedagogy is to foster and support research by academic researchers and classroom teachers into the practice of teaching Jewish subjects at all levels, in order to improve practice and strengthen the field. This will require expanding the definition of scholarship to include systematic inquiry and investigation into pedagogy by teachers themselves.
