- "Catholics, Jews, and the Prism of Conscience"
was a symposium to coincide with the publication of James Carroll's book: Constantine's Sword: The Church and the Jews, A History. It was held at Brandeis on Monday, Jan.22, 2001. James Carroll, a member of the Advisory Board for the International Center for Ethics, Justice, and Public Life, was be joined by a distinguished group of panelists from a variety of disciplines in this symposium. James Carroll is the author of nine novels and the memoir: An American Requiem, which won the National Book Award. His essays on culture and politics appear weekly in the Boston Globe.
