Elaine Schuster

Elaine Schuster is the Director of Community Affairs at Continental Wingate Company and operates her own real estate business in Cambridge, Massachusetts.  She is currently a Trustee at Suffolk University and a Third Century Member at Harvard Medical School.  She serves on the Board of the Boston Public Library Foundation, is a member of the Corporation of Partners Healthcare System, Inc. and holds a Board position on the Women’s Health forum at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.  She is also a Board member of the White House Project, a managing Trustee of the Democratic National Committee and a past Trustee of the Wang Center for the Performing Arts.

Elaine’s national political activities include an appointment to the 1996 Site Selection Committee and Vice Chair of the 1996 Inaugural Committee.  She currently serves as a National Executive Board Member and New England Chair of the Women’s Leadership Forum.  She holds a presidential appointment to the Advisory Committee on the Arts and has been honored by the Massachusetts Democratic State Party and former Secretary of Commerce, Ron Brown, for her services to the Democratic Party.  Elaine is the most prominent fundraiser of the Democratic Party in Massachusetts.  She has named two art exhibition areas in the Women’s Studies Research Center, one for her late mother and the other for her late mother-in-law.
