Current Project

Corbató’s new portfolio “absolution of the wind . . . “, photographs of Plum Island, will be shown at Rubin-Frankel Gallery, Boston University, 2009. Her eighteen images with text from Terezin are included in: “21st Century Responses to the Holocaust” at Hebrew College, November 2008 - January 2009.  She continues developing “Detours”, her ongoing series of photographic diversions.

Biography

In 2008 Corbató was juried into “In The Beginning” at Women’s Museum, Dallas.  She had exhibits at Hunt-Cavanagh Gallery, Providence College (2008) and Newton Free Library (2007). Great Neck Art Center (NY) presented “Two Generations View China: a Father/Daughter Exhibit” (2006). She was Featured Artist for New Gallery Concert Series (2007) and was in “New England/New Talent” biennial at Fitchburg Art Museum (2006). Her work was published in Art New England (2006). In addition Corbató has had exhibits at Boston Public Library, the Photographic Resource Center, Cambridge Art Association, Dean’s Gallery (MIT), Curry, Emmanuel and Merrimack Colleges. “Vsevo Khorashevo: All Good Things: a photographic essay of the Jews of Ukraine”, was part of The Bernstein Festival of the Arts at Brandeis (2007).  Corbató presented “Tonalities: an exhibit in black and white” at her alma mater, New England Conservatory, where she had a photography residency (2005).

Corbató’s work is in the collections of: MIT Museum, The Computer History Museum (CA), Fitchburg Art Museum, Merrimack College, Yivo Archives (NY), New England Conservatory, and WSRC/Brandeis.
