About the Program
The Eli J. Segal Citizen Leadership Program will inspire and support a new generation of leaders to commit to a lifetime of contributing to the common good and elevate service and citizen leadership as central strategies critical to the health and well-being of our democracy.
The goals of this innovative new program are to encourage emerging leaders to engage in a lifetime of citizen service, serve as a platform to promote service and citizen leadership, and commemorate and honor the extraordinary contributions of the late Eli J. Segal ’64.
The program will consist of Citizen Service Fellowships, establish the Segal Fellows Network and create a biannual Memorial Lecture — to be inaugurated by former president Bill Clinton — that will focus on civic leadership and national service. The goal is to raise $4 million to endow the program.
