Marion Gribetz, MA
Senior Research Associate

Marion Gribetz is senior research associate at the Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies. Marion has spent close to 30 years professionally in a variety of capacities in the world of Jewish Education. As a Jerusalem Fellow, Marion studied and wrote about the role of the arts as a builder of Jewish identity and connection. In recent years, she has devoted much time to crafting new models of Professional Development for Jewish educators including directing PDI (professional development institute) for BBYO professionals at Hebrew College, directing the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute in Boston and facilitating a virtual Community of Practice (CoP) on Israel Engagement for PEJE. She is on the faculty of Hebrew College where she teaches courses in the content and context of Jewish Education. She is also managing director of an independent consulting firm, Gribetz Mencow Consultants, which specializes in improving Jewish education. In this capacity she has served on the research team at the Avi Chai foundation exploring part-time Jewish schools in the United States.

At CMJS, Marion is currently working on the Jim Joseph Jewish Education Catalog as well as Limmud by the Lake 2. Marion also worked on Jewish Learning in Congregational Schools: Current and Potential Uses for BabagaNewz and Hot Spots in Jewish Education.
