In this area of work CI convenes cutting-edge discussions across the boundaries of the coexistence field and related areas - such as development, governance, human rights, security, and the arts - by:

  • Bringing together leading international practitioners, researchers, policymakers, and donors from coexistence and related fields to explore the possibilities and challenges of using a complementary approach to coexistence;
  • Engaging in research addressing the similarities/differences in the values and practices that drive the work of those in coexistence and related fields;
  • Convening panels and roundtables at international gatherings on issues of coexistence and the intersection of coexistence and related work;
  • Developing and disseminating research, publications, and tools.

This program facilitates connections, reflection, and strategic thinking between the leaders of the coexistence field and related areas with the goal of strengthening their capacity to work together towards peaceful and positive intergroup relations.

This program area is convened by Jessica Berns.
