November 2008
Two activists from Liberia spoke at Brandeis University in late November about the country’s recent troubled past and prospects for its future.
Sponsored by Coexistence International and the International Center for Ethics, Justice, and Public Life, the event featured Aaron Weah and Musue Haddad. Mr. Weah is a Liberian writer who recently co-authored the book Impunity Under Attack: Evolution and Imperatives of Liberian TRC, and Ms. Haddad is a current student in the dual master's degree program in Sustainable International Development and Coexistence and Conflict. Mr. Weah also serves in Liberia as national program assistant for the International Center for Transitional Justice, a New York-based international non-governmental organization that focuses on transitional justice policy issues around the globe.
A recent Brandeis news story about the event can be found here.
