Transitional Justice in West Africa

Resource Database

The following is a collection of resources related to transitional justice efforts in the region of West Africa. These resources have been compiled in the course of CI's work, with our partner the Ghana Center for Democratic Development, on "Transitional Justice and Peacebuilding in West Africa."1 The database includes both general information related to the issue of transitional justice, particularly with regards to the region, as well as country-specific information covering multiple states in West Africa which have undergone or are currently undergoing transitional justice processes following years or even decades of brutal civil war and human rights abuses.

The resources featured in this database come from a wealth of sources, both governmental and non-governmental. In particular, CI would like to recognize the work of the International Center for Transitional Justice in developing clear and concise information on the opportunities and challenges facing transitional justice processes in the region. If you would like to suggest additional resources for inclusion in the database, please email coexistenceintl@brandeis.edu.
