Training & Technical Assistance

As CI’s network of coexistence allies has grown, so have requests for training and technical assistance.

To strengthen coexistence practice and promote a complementary approach, CI offers capacity building on coexistence-related themes and skills.

Recent examples of the technical assistance and training CI has offered to organizations include:

  • reviewing strategic plans, workshop agendas, and grant proposals, and offering feedback regarding the incorporation of a coexistence lens;
  • training theatre artists from numerous countries in the principles of peacebuilding and exploring the contributions of the arts to peacebuilding and reconciliation;
  • convening workshops that include coexistence skills training components;
  • contributing focus papers to conferences convened on such areas as the security sector and the arts;
  • providing research and publications as curriculum to graduate courses on coexistence and development;
  • supporting the development of regional and national coexistence networks in Cameroon and Nigeria.

CI is currently expanding its training modules for coexistence skills and leadership and the application of a coexistence lens in various sectors, including governance, transitional justice, human rights, and the arts.  If your organization would like to learn more about the technical assistance and trainings that CI offers, please contact us at: coexistenceintl@brandeis.edu
