Attendance Registration
Please fill out the online registration form to inform us of your attendance at the May 18, 2008 Main Commencement ceremonies (UNET ID and password required).
Your registration will ask for the following information:
1. Your attendance at Main Commencement.
2. Box lunch order (served after the Main Commencement ceremony).
3. Order a guest ticket for Main Commencement.
This form assists us to plan for and coordinate a smooth-running event.
Regalia
The university will rent caps, gowns and hoods for you if you do not have your own regalia. The online registration for ordering regalia with institutional colors is now closed. However, hoods with Brandeis colors can be ordered by contacting Pat Hurley, Campus Operations.
Faculty regalia will be available for pick up on Friday, May 16, 2008, 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. in the Epstein Building, lower level. In addition, regalia will be available to pick up in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center Dance Studio (basement level) at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 18.
Robing for Main Commencement
On Commencement day, the dance studio in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center (basement level) will be open for robing beginning at 7:30 a.m. Faculty will assemble for the academic procession promptly between 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. in the dance studio.
Robing for Mini-Commencements
Normally, faculty bring their regalia to the mini-commencement sites. Please work with your department administrator if you require an alternate arrangement.
Schedule for Commencement Day
Following is the schedule for the main Commencement ceremony in the Gosman Sports and Convocation Center on Sunday, May 18, 2008.
7:30 a.m.
Regalia not picked up on Friday will be available in the dance studio (basement level).
9:30 to 10 a.m.
Faculty robe and assemble for the academic procession in the dance studio.
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Commencement ceremony.
12:30 p.m.
Box lunch available in the dance studio.
Box Lunches
A box lunch and beverages for faculty will be available following the main Commencement ceremony, providing you have submitted on online registration form (click here to do so now).
Tickets for Main Commencement Ceremony
Faculty members who are marching in the main Commencement ceremony do not need a ticket. However, if you are marching and would like a ticket for a guest, you may order one through the online registration (click here to do so now if you have not already done so).Faculty may also obtain tickets from the Office of Conference and Event Services (CES) in Kutz 9. A maximum of two tickets per person will be issued with the presentation of a current Brandeis ID. Tickets for the Main Commencement will be available in early May, and you will be notified via e-mail when the ordering process is available.
Parking
On Commencement day, all Gosman Center parking lots will be closed for general use and accessible only to those individuals with VIP blue and orange fluorescent hang-tag parking permits. Medical and handicapped parking information may be obtained by contacting the Office of Conference and Events at 781-736-4300.
Faculty should park in regular weekday parking lots and walk to ceremony areas.
