What is a CMS?

The content management system, or CMS, is a web-based application that provides a central place for website creation and editing. It has many technical benefits and provides a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editing interface.

The Brandeis content management system (CMS) was upgraded to Cascade 8 in February. The printed/PDF version of the CMS User Guide for the zeta templates has been replaced with this Zeta User Guide website.

Cascade Server by Hannon Hill is the content management system (CMS) used to maintain most Brandeis websites. The Office of Digital Communications offers in-person training, online documentation and as-needed support to web editors using the standard university website templates.
