Leah covers undergraduate, graduate and faculty research for BrandeisNOW and Brandeis Magazine, concentrating on the physical and social sciences, and connects the Brandeis community with local and national press.

An experienced journalist with a strong background in science, Leah spent three years as a reporter in the Greater Boston area. Her work has appeared in The Boston Globe, the Boston Herald and Biblical Archaeology Review, and on NationalGeographic.com.

Leah attended Boston University’s College of Communication and the George Washington University. While living in Washington, D.C., she worked at the National Geographic Society, developing stories about the fieldwork of the society’s grantees.

Leah is passionate about promoting science and thoughtful scholarship to broad audiences. At age 12, she attended Space Camp in Huntsville, Ala., where she served as her crew’s chief science officer, just like her role model Mr. Spock.
