Cascade Server
The Web team at Brandeis is always looking for ways to improve and streamline Web processes. In 2006, Brandeis undertook a major initiative to enhance website production. With research and input from faculty, staff and students, the university purchased its first content management system, Cascade Server by Hannon Hill.
The content management system, or CMS, is a Web-based application that provides a central place for website creation and editing. It has many technical benefits and provides a WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) editing interface. You no longer need to know HTML or complicated software programs to create a professional, attractive and clean website that also adheres to the university's visual identity standards. You may edit your website from any computer connected to the Internet.
