Gaza Statehood, PA Decline, and the One State Reality
Dr. Khalil Shikaki, Senior Fellow at the Crown Center and Director, Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research in Ramallah
After a four year stalemate in Palestinian-Israeli negotiations and given the regional and international dynamics of the past few years, where are the two sides heading? In this talk, Dr. Khalil Shikaki focused on three main processes that currently dominate the future of Palestinian-Israeli relations: the drive for statehood in Gaza, the further weakening of the Palestinian Authority, and the making of a one-state reality. The talk also argued that these processes could transform the political landscape and destroy the two-state paradigm if allowed to continue.
