Over the past two decades, China has developed strong economic relations with many Middle Eastern countries. China now seeks their cooperation on a massive development project that would build a large network of roads and seaports to facilitate trade among Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Yet, political instability and regional rivalries in the Middle East pose a number of challenges for integration into the Initiative. Join us for this fascinating discussion!
