Position in Comparative Politics of the Arab Middle East

The Department of Politics and the Crown Center for Middle East Studies at Brandeis University have reinstated the search to fill the Myra and Robert Kraft Chair in Arab Politics to begin in the 2010/11 academic year. Applications are invited from scholars with research and teaching interests in the comparative politics of the Arab states. The successful candidate will hold tenure, or a tenure-track appointment in the Department of Politics and teach one course per semester in that department. The candidate will also hold a half-time research appointment in, and receive research support from, the Crown Center for Middle East Studies.
Eligibility: Evidence of research and scholarly publication, and teaching excellence are required to qualify for consideration. Applications are invited from scholars with research and teaching interests in the comparative politics of the Arab states. Rank to be determined by qualifications.
Requirements: Applicants should submit a letter of application, a curriculum vitae, sample chapters of their dissertation and/or copies of published work, syllabi from previously taught courses, and a list of proposed courses the candidate would consider teaching.
