Audio Visual Requests: Media Technology Services (MTS) provides state of the art audio visual equipment and technical support across campus, which may be useful for department/program events.

BOX: Box is a cloud content management and file sharing service which some administrators use for better security. If you are interested in learning about BOX, there are tutorials which the help desk could share with you.

BUSS (Brandeis University Self Service): Information in BUSS is updated from HR and Payroll.  It provides information on your own personal benefits and paychecks. You use your UNET ID to login.

Conference and Events: is available for coordinating events that take place on campus, ranging from a small department meeting to Commencement.  They provide catering, table rentals, etc.

Copy Center Request: The Copy Center provides, copying, binding, laminating, scanning, page numbering and other printing services, and is often used for print jobs that are too large or complicated for your office or building printer.

Counseling Center: The Brandeis Counseling Center provides counseling to Brandeis undergraduates and graduate students. You should refer to them if you or a faculty member have concerns about a student.

Events: This site lists a calendar of all events taking place on campus.

Facilities: Facilities takes care of general building and grounds, upkeep and repairs, custodial services, pest control, snow removal, HVAC and recycling. To submit a work order for repair or service in your area, please use this link.

Financial Reports: This site is the link for running PeopleSoft web financial reports pertaining to your department spending (Budget Summary, transactions by month, etc.). We recommend that you run your reports at least monthly in order to manage your department/program spending, and that you routinely reconcile the reports against your own expense tracking system.

Google Calendar: Google calendar is what Brandeis staff and faculty use to schedule meetings. It is highly recommended that we all use this software.

Human Resources: This site offers easy access to information on the services, benefits and programs.

International Students and Scholars (ISSO): This office supports Brandeis international students and scholars.  ISSO needs to be consulted regarding faculty, staff or students who are coming to Brandeis on a visa status.

LATTE: Latte is Brandeis’ Learning and Teaching Technology Environment, used by many of our faculty, enabling online innovations in courses.

Information Technology Services (ITS): In addition to the catalogs, books, journals, and online databases on which the academy depends, LTS provides networks, telephones, media, data storage, information security, and emergency alerts for the University.  LTS offers training that may be of interest to A&S Administrators. The tech support help desk provides valuable trouble shooting and repair help (x 64357).

Mail Lists: Brandeis mailing lists are used to send email to a group of subscribers with similar interests.

Marketplace+: is a Procure to Pay tool, allowing users to purchase goods and services on-line.  All A&S Academic Administrators should have an account and Procurement (link) has frequent training sessions which should be attended.

Payroll (time reporting): The Payroll Office is responsible for the processing of payroll for all university faculty, staff and students, and also prepares and distributes annual tax reporting documents (W-2, 1042S). The university's Time Collection System is managed and maintained by Payroll.

People Directory: This site is an easy way to find a Brandeis person’s contact information if you know their name.

Procurement: supports all departments in the acquisition of products and services for Brandeis University at the lowest total cost of ownership.                                    

Public Lecture: Departments hosting public lectures may be eligible to receive funding, such as for a visiting speaker, author, artist, or any other related costs.                               
Funding for Outside Lectures

Registrar: In addition to managing Sage, the Registrar’s office also deals with scheduling and registration of courses.  Academic Administrators should contact the Assistant Registrar for training regarding course scheduling.

SAGE: is the academic records system for students, faculty and staff and access is important for Arts & Sciences Academic Administrators. Please contact the Asst. Registrar to request access and training.

Sponsored Accounting (SPA): Sponsored Programs Accounting is responsible for managing the financial aspects of external grants and ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations.

Student Financial Services (SFS): SFS deals with financial aid for students, and is also the office through which student workers are hired.  To request student worker help, forms and information can be found on this site.

Web Training: Hands-on training for Brandeis’ content management system (CMS) are offered for staff who maintain department/program web pages. The web team will not grant CMS access to any individual who has not completed a training session.

As Brandeis grows, so can we! DAS offers a program for the Professional Development for Arts and Sciences Administrative Staff which encourages and supports administrative staff members interested in developing their professional careers.
