Background and Description
Robert C. Hunt specializes in Economic Anthropology. He has worked for many years on various features of irrigated agriculture. Specific geographic areas include Mexico, USA, Egypt, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines. In addition he conducts systematic cross-cultural comparisions on several economic topics (social organization of irrigation, intensification of agriculture). Topically he is working on property, money, and the transfer form of allocation. Although retired he is usually on campus one day per week, and is happy to consult with advanced students.
