The Fifth Annual Greater Boston Anthropology Consortium (GBAC) Student Conference
A collaborative event co-sponsored by the Anthropology programs of Brandeis University, Clark University, Olin College, Tufts University, Wellesley College, and Wheaton College.

Conference Venue:
The Samuel, Jr. and Rieka Rapaporte Treasure Hall, home to the Brandeis Libraries' special and rare book collections, opened in 1962. The hall houses locally, nationally, and internationally recognized performers, lecturers, exhibitions, recitals, roundtables, seminars, conferences, and panel discussions.

Via Massachusetts Turnpike (Interstate 90)
Eastbound: Take exit 14 for I-95/Route 128. After the toll, keep left for I-95/Route 128 North. While on the ramp, exit immediately onto Exit 24 for Route 30. Bear left on Route 30. Turn right at the first traffic light onto River Road. Follow this for 1.5 miles, where it turns into South Street. Brandeis is 0.5 miles ahead on the left of South Street.
Westbound: Take Exit 15 for I-95/Route 128 and Route 30. After the toll proceed straight until Route 30. Turn right at the end of the ramp, and then right again at the first traffic light onto Route 30. Turn left at the next traffic light onto River Road. Follow this for 1.5 miles, where it turns into South Street. Brandeis is 0.5 miles ahead on the left of South Street.
Via 1nterstate 95/Route 128
Northbound: Take Exit 24 for Route 30. Route 30 is one of several options at this exit, so follow the signs carefully. Turn left at the top of the ramp on Route 30. Turn right at the traffic lights. This is South Street; Brandeis is two miles ahead on the left.
Southbound: Take Exit 24 for Route 30. At end of the ramp, proceed through the traffic light (this takes you across Route 30). This is River Road (River Road becomes South Street), and Brandeis is two miles ahead on the left.
By MBTA Commuter Rail
The Rapoporte Treasure Hall is approximately 10 minutes from the Brandeis/Roberts stop on the Fitchburg/South Acton Commuter Rail-line on foot. The train de-/boards adjacent to a parking lot. South Street runs perpendicular/through the commuter rail line. Follow South Street up the hill towards the university.
Transportation and Parking:
Participants are encouraged to make independent arrangements for transportation to and from the conference venue at Brandeis University. Car-pooling is particularly encouraged.
Parking information will be available late 2007, early 2008 prior to the conference date.
Food:
Light refreshments will be available and coffee/tea will be available throughout the day.
