Masters Degree in Anthropology
Students admitted to the M.A. program must fulfill the Graduate School's residence requirement of one full year of coursework (8 semester courses) passed with graduate credit (i.e., with grades of B- or higher). Courses include ANTH 201a History of Anthropological Thought and seven elective courses, designed around the student's anthropological interests and selected with the approval of the student's faculty advisor. Finally, the student must submit to his/her advisor and one additional faculty member an acceptable research paper 30-45 pages in length. The paper may have been written in an Anthropology course.
