REQUIREMENTS

Midterm examination, in-course presentation on an aspect of the Athenian legal or political system, Final paper based on presentation.


CONTENT

We will read two speeches of Demosthenes (Against Konon and Against Dionysodoros) and the Funeral Oration by Perikles in Book II of The Peloponnesian War.
